To utilize the app, simply access the desired content, make a selection, and share it with Count Words. Additionally, users have the option to copy text from various sources and paste it directly into the application for word counting.

The app's standout features include the ability to showcase word count results in cascading, list, or pie chart layouts. Detailed count statistics are provided, incorporating total word count, unique words, average word length, sentence and paragraph counts, whitespace analysis, character breakdown for counted words, as well as specifics on alphabetical characters, digits, punctuation marks, composed characters, and multi-byte characters such as emojis.

Users can fine-tune their counting preferences by adjusting filters to exclude articles, conjunctions, helping verbs, prepositions, pronouns, or filler words from the analysis. Furthermore, the tool permits the incorporation of custom keywords for counting purposes—these keywords may encompass more than one word and include punctuation or other characters.

The application offers convenient sorting options based on count totals or alphabetically. Results can be visualized with count totals or percentage representations of all/shown keywords in a pie chart display. Users can interact with the results by tapping on any keyword to highlight it and cycle through corresponding keywords in the processed text.
